3rd grade students learned about Keith Haring and the way he created his
artwork. We observed the simplified figures that he included his
artwork. The students learned that he used bold, black lines around his
objects and also used rhythmic lines to express movement, feeling, or
noise. The students started off by sketching out a composition that included Haring-like elements. We finished the artwork with permanent makers
to create the bold, black lines. Great job 3rd graders!
